Incoming E-mail Alerts Question

Is there a way to turn off alerts for a set period of time and not
have to worry about turning them back on? Would like to be able to
set aside time without e-mail interuption, and I would likely forget
to turn the alerts back on.

You would have to write some code, and create your own alerts.
