Incoming email being delayed. Keep getting messages similar to "the
operation timed out waiting for a response " ......"contact your ISP".
These messages are continuous. I have verified my email settings and tested
them by going to "tools". In "Advanced" I have Incoming Mail (POP3)Port:
110; Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Port:25. I am non-encrypted. So, everything tests
out to be aok. Yet, when I go to the "Start" menu and click "run" and enter:
"telnet://smtpmail.yahoo.com:25" I do not get any response. HELP!!!

What did your ISP say? Everytime I attempt to reach my ISP I either end up with a sales pitch for Windows 2007, or directed to a discussion group. I finally gave up trying to reach anyone at my ISP when I found out they charge for giving assistance. So, decided to try the discussion group venue. Janet

You're issue usually indicates a misconfigured firewall or a virus scanner
that integrates with Outlook and does a s*** job at it. I suggest you start
with disabling the virus scanner integration with Outlook.
