incoming emails not showing in inbox

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

After updating software through Software Update on a MBP (inc. a firmware update), incoming email is now not showing up in the inbox. If I send test emails to myself (and get a collegaue to send a test email to me, too), then these emails do not show in the inbox. However, if I select the Mail View - Emails sent only to me, then I can see those test emails.

I can send email with no problems. Webmail and iPhone email (to same Exchange account) has no problem.

I've no rules set up.

What version of Exchange Server are you using- I too am having the
same issues- I am updating to 12.1.9 Office update to see how that
performs for us- A user lost his complete availability to see his
eMails in the Inbox, Sent Items, Sub Folders we broke down his large
eMail Inbox into (on server thru OWA)- Junk Mail was showing items
yesterday but now is empty too. We have had this problem since Monday
and 2 successful weeks after a Migration to Server 2007- THEN BOOM!

While writing this I have discovered that 12.1.9 update does not do
the trick- ALSO - It asks for the Kerberos Password login Now!!! ???
Ahhhh Undocumented feature changes- THANKS MS!

I second your emotion. . . Ugggghhh!

We're on ExchangeServer2007. Already using MS Entourage update 12.1.9 as well and it was the same with 12.0.0.

Solved.

Just clear the entourage cache. right-click on the account name and go into prefernces - cache is in there and you can clear it.

That unfortunately did not work-
We only still can view Deleted Items, Junk eMail and Drafts (going
back to 1/6/06)
All other Folders although we get the Exchange account tree- are empty
(Inbox, 102Q2008, etc)

We did some suggestions on the Server side regarding Permissions to
the needed folders for Entourage as suggested by KLAUS1013:

I finally found the solution for this problem after raising a case
with MS PSS. The issue is SBS 2008 does not have the correct
permissions on a few Exchange folders. The 'Authenticated Users'
group needs the following security:

- Read and Execute
- List Folder Contents
- Read

On the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Exchweb
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OWA

The format for Entourage is:

remote.contoso.com/exchange/[email protected]

Thanks for all the advice in this thread. As I guessed from the
beginning, this was an issue related directly to SBS 2008, rather than
an Exchange or Entourage problem.

Now works without a problem.

Not ours though :(

SOLUTION-WORK AROUND: We moved our important user with the problems
back to the 2003 Exchange server and his eMail is back in view-

Now I am on the 2007 Exchange server and will test for a while- Hope
it happens again so we can further troubleshoot- This will hinder our
companies ability to migrate all users to 2007 until its resolved.

Well... It took 24 hours and no I am in the same boat- NO NEW EMAIL
GETS TO MY INBOX- We are raising the flag with MS Support and looking
into the server setup to find a solution. DONT LET EM SAY WE DON'T
SUPPORT ENTOURAGE!!! Raise hell with MS or no macs in Exhange 2007
enviroments will happen.

DON't Be fooled if you successfully connect- The connected account
MUST be on the 07 server for 24 hours before the BREAK happens- Try it
out!!!!
