Incompatibility with MS Office 2003 (PC)

The Excel:mac2008 is not compatible with Windows Excel 2003. The row and column sizes set on the Mac are not properly sized when the doc is sent to the PC. I ran the "compatibility" check on the Mac and nothing was reported other than a date format issue.
This is not usable in a business environment where files must be shared with Windows users.
Did anyone ever check this? Anyone know a solution?

I use XL03, XL04, XL07 and XL08 in a mixed environment all the time. I
see no more problems between MacXL and WinXL than I do between WinXL
machines using different printers or using fonts that exist on only one
machine.

The most important thing is to use fonts that exist on both platforms.
If possible, make sure that you're using the same or compatible print
drivers.

Did you look in Help? You can find this suggestion and others in the
XL08 Help topic "Best practices for working with Windows"
