We have an implementation of Project Server 2003 that has been running fine
for several years. Today, suddenly, certain users at one site are getting
the following error connecting to Project Server from Project Pro:
Incompatible Codepages.
Project has detected incompatible codepages.
* The Project Server is using Codepage .
* Your computer is using Codepage -1.
I don't understand. The server is using no codepage, and the client is
using -1? I have checked the regional and local settings via windows XP
control panel for the effected users. So what am I missing. Not all users
are effected, but multiple users suddenly are. No changes to Project Server
or Enterprise Globals have occurred. I have searched online with no luck.
Can someone please help me? I am getting desperate.

More info. One of the users tried to open a project from the web. The
message is a little different. The message is still balnk for the project
server codepage, but it says his computer is using codepage 208987920.
