Incomplete Outlook shutdown

Whenever Outlook shuts down unexpectedly, e.g. with power failure, I cannot
reopen Outlook until it has checked ALL the files, which can take 30-40
minutes. Message like " checking all data files".
No means to disable , or work around, this, that I can find.

Appreciate comments directly to my email in S.Africa: (e-mail address removed)
Many thanks to whoever can help.

If pwr failures are a frequent event then you need a UPS (Uninterrupted
Power Supply) They would also protect the PC from Pwr Spikes.
Pwr failures can cause data loss, and in extreme cases, hardware failures
There is no workaround for your problem

Thank you for that, appreciate it. Am in process of buying a UPS.

Can you point me in the right direction on how to export all my contacts
from one computer to another?
