incomplete page loading/ script error

This problem started last week. The page was loading fine before even with 2
pcasa slide shows running. The only thing that I can think that I was woking
on was I was having a little problem removing some cell borders but
eventually got them deleted. About that time the page starting timimng out
on intial opening then when it does load it will sometimes not load the menu
bar or not all the images will load unless you right click show picture and
then when you have manually got all the images loaded on one page and go to
another in same site that page will immediately time out as "cannot
connect/open/found ect. page.

When switching from design to preview mode in FP I get an " an error has
occured on the script of this page" "line 2 Char 1 invalid character code
0" this happens on everypage so I would think it might be in the index.dwt
that is common to all pages. I posted this question last week and was
suggested remove the picasa slide show this I did without any remedy to
problem. I am resubmitting the question hopefully with more detailed
description of problem.

How caan I fix this and prevent the same in the future?

Are the paths correct in the DWT?

I would assume so as the .dwt is in the same folder and the all of the pages.
in other words I am not sure how can I check?

Could someone give me some guidance on this? I am learning and I need to
fix this am I in the correct forum?

the error states line 2 character 1 invalid charater. When in code view line
2 has no characters invalid or otherwise.

1) Do not use Preview when you have any scripts in your page
(Preview does not support scripts)
- Use File Preview in browser

2) Do not use any spaces in file, folder or DWT editable region names
- rename them to remove spaces or replace spaces w/ under_scores or-dashes
