Incomplete printing from pptx

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I use pptx to make A0 posters on an Epson 9800. Page Setup is set to Custom and the correct size 86 x 120cm and fit-to-page selected but only an A4 section of the whole layout is printing. I can get round it by turning the pptx file into a pdf but even though I select maximum resolution in options I still get a small file size and a furry look to text. Anyone else suffering the same?

First steps whenever printing issues arise anywhere:

1- Confirm the software is fully updated,
2- Confirm the OS is fully update, &
3- Check the mfr's site for a driver update for the printer.

#3 is equally important as the other 2... Perhaps more so.

Thank you. Latest drivers plus manually removing every Library>Printer>Epson>preference seems to have cured the problem
