We’re running Project Server 2007 with SQL Server 2005 in a farm environment.
Prior to publishing a project, PMs have been setting Baseline 0 (for the
entire project) after drafting their project plan. If additional tasks need
to be created after the initial baseline and actual hours have been applied,
the new line items are then added to the same Baseline 0 (for selected tasks,
rolling up to all summary tasks, and from subtasks into selected summary
tasks).
When reviewing the baseline within the project plan, all seems to have
worked fine, everything rolls up and the numbers are correct. After
publishing the project, the data is updated in PWA’s Project Center view
appropriately.
Once a cube has been built, we have found that the baseline data becomes
much more inconsistent, only displaying the last set of selected tasks that
were added to previously created baselines.
We use the cube to generate a number of reports against baseline numbers,
and have found these inconsistencies between the project file and PWA versus
the cube data to be quite troubling. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
