We use Exchange Server and Outlook 2000.
The various Contacts folders are used as Outlook Address Books.
Although it is possible to change the sort order of the Contacts
folder and change what each contact is filed under, when you click on
To in a new email (and bring up the address book), the contacts are
always listed in order of an email display name (usually a default
anyway).
However, this display name is NOT the display name associated with the
email address that you can change from the Contact details, ie when
you look at a contact's full details and right click on their email
address and choose properties.
Does anyone know the source of the display name that comes up in the
address book and how it can be changed? Why isn't it taken from the
email display name set in the Contacts folder?
