Inconsistent hyperlinks after conversion to .pdf

Hi,
I've created a document in Publisher with a number of hyperlinks to web
pages. When I convert it to a .pdf using either cutepdf or Primo only some
of the links work. Not sure where the problem lies so I'll welcome any
advice.
Thanks.

Are you typing the complete URL, for example http://www.google.com/?

If you have inserted a hyperlink from Publisher's Insert menu, the PDF
conversion program is not recognizing the insert; you will have to type the
complete URL.

Do the two programs you mentioned have a hyperlink option? With Acrobat you
can highlight a word; insert a hyperlink.

Hi Mary,

I'm typing the full url in the address box of the 'Insert Hyperlink' form.
If I type the title of a book and want to link it through to the relevant
page on Amazon it doesn't recognize the url when converted to .pdf.

The cutepdf and Primo programmes are only convertors and don't have
hyperlink options. When you talk about Acrobat below are you referring to
the full version as I only have the Reader?

Cheers Don. I've been copying and pasting from the browser address bar, but
without success. Checked for typos as well.

The "Insert Hyperlink" dialog only tells Publisher that the text is a
link. Publisher knows about this when exporting to the web, but when you
print, there is no mechanism to transfer hyperlink information.

i.e. Links looking like this:

will not work, whilst links looking like this:

Click on this link: [www.amazon.com]

will work.

Only if the full text of the hyperlink appears explicitly in the
document will programs like PrimoPDF recognise the link.

Adobe Acrobat includes a Publisher add-in that recognises text links and
converts them as intended, but it is somewhat unstable and known to
cause problems. It also costs money.

PS. The inserted links also survive conversion to PDF with the Office PDF
Add in for Pub 2007.

I create a newsletter for our computer club. Adobe Acrobat will create a
correct link only if the URL is on one line. It can't follow to the second
line.

Thank you to all who took the time to respond.

How will that help? The same versions of Word have the PDF add-in as
Publisher, the same third-party paid PDF solutions are available
offering application add-ins, and I'm not aware of Word sending secret
URL information to the printer driver...

Am I missing something obvious?
