Inconsistent Settings and Dates

Charles

Work days specified as 7 days per week. 0800-1200, 1300-1700, Sunday thru
Saturday. If I put a duration of 60 days in it goes out much further, so it
must only be using Mon-Fri work week. Why isn't it using the work week
defined in Tools-Change Working Time? I made every day a work week, but when
I put duration in it does not count Sat and Sun as part of the duration.
Thus the finish date is further out than desired. Why? Thanks.

I copied this answer from my friend John who answered a very similar question
yesterday:

It sounds like you've covered most of the stuff, but the true test in in
the details. Here is what you should have
A. Tools/Options/Calendar tab:
Default start time 8:00
Default end time 17:00
Hours per day 8.0
[Set as default]
B. Tools/Change Working time:
Select all work days by selecting the column headings
Select non-default working time option
From 8:00 To 12:00
From 13:00 To 17:00

That should do what you need. For reference you might also like to take
a look at FAQ 5 - Default Working Hours on our MVP website at,

Jim,
So who gets the rating, you or me? :)

You both get one as far as I am concerned. I thought I had done that, but
apparently not quite completely enough for MSP. Thanks again.
