incorporating mp3 files into Powerpoint

Hi,

I'm a new user of Powerpoint and am just getting acquainted with the
program. So far I've found the program to be very user friendly. I'm
preparing a presentation and want to synch music with the slides. I'd like
some advice on how to do this.

I have 2 questions in particular:

1. I know that mp3 is an easy format to work with. However, how do I get mp3
files of music that I want to use in my presentation? Is there a way to, for
example, search a large online database of songs, and for a modest fee,
download 5 to 10 songs to go with my presentation? How expensive is this?

2. What about using music from music CDs I have? Do I simply pop the CD in
one of my CD-Rom drives and transfer the individual tracks/files from there?

Thanks for your advice.
