incorporating photos into an Access db

Hi, wondering if anyone has suggestions on what program to use to incorporate
photos into an Access database while keeping file size to a minimum.

Looking for something fairly easy to use and would also like to put a
viewable copy of the database and photo files on multiple machines without
having to install the helper program.

I've heard about ThumbsPlus and Amarra. Any opinions on those or others?
