Incorrect date formats

R

Robert Todd

I have a date expressed in a spreadsheet column in the
mm\dd\yy format. We have three different machines
accessing the file. Sometimes the spreadsheet will
display the format as mm\dd\yyyy which displays as #####
because of the size of the column. How can I keep this
from occurring. It seems to be random. Would it be a
default setting on one of the excel installs. We are
using EXCEL 2002
Thanks.

Check that the Regional Settings for all three machines
are the same.

Control Panel/Regional Settings/Date Tab. Then adjust Long
Date and Short Date as desired.
