Incorrect font printing with vertical format set to YES

I am printing tags for items we sell. Most of the fields have the vertical
format set to Yes in the Other section of the properties sheet. When I
print, the vertical text seems to be printing in some system default font.
When I try to change the font, weight, etc, it doesn't change unless I set
the vertical property to No. Then it doesn't fit the overall look we want on
the tag. How can I get the tag to print in the font and size I need?
