Incorrect handling of UTF-8 e-mails

Is there a fix for Outlook 2007's inability to display received UTF-8
plain text e-mails correctly? The annoying one is displaying UKP (£)
signs as a "Question mark on a black diamond" character. I've been
Googling for a while, but can't find any satisfactory solution.
