incorrect user name/password combination 5002

hello helping hand,
Setup: one server (PS 2003 and SQL 2000 - all patched by the book),
integrated Windows authentification, Intranet.
Using Project Web Access for the Administrator works fine, but not for a
user even with admin rights
IE settings: Security - Trusted sites / automatic logon with current
username and password.
Reply of the lgnps.asp page after entering again username and password: You
have entered an incorrect user name/password combination. (5002)

Assuming that you have added resources with their Windows user accounts in
the Enterprise Resource Pool, and have added your project managers to the
Project Managers group in PWA, your PM's need to log into PWA using a URL
similar to the following:

http://servername/projectserver

If they do this, the system will log them into PWA automatically using their
Windows User account information. Hope this helps.

Hello Dale,
sorry for not having been specific enough.
I have used the Administrator account within the IE Project Web Access to
setup a additional Windows Integrated user as admin - but I did not use the
option Manage Windows SharePoint Services ¦ Synchronize administrators
account. - Finally I have a working setup, I hope. At least there are no
warnings or errors in the eventvwr.
