Increase Contrast between Read and Unread Email in 2003

I need to increase the darkness contrast between Read and Unread Emails. It is too light and I don't need the extreme contrast I get in the "Accessibility Options" in Control Panel. I've dug around and haven't found the answer. Anyone know how I can achieve this

In OL 2000 it is View, Current View, Customize Current View, Automatic
Formatting. I imagine 2003 is similar.
