Increase maximum capacity of text in cell

Joanne

How do I increase the maximum number of characters allowed
in a cell. I need to include comments that seem to exceed
what is allowed. It will only "autosize" to a set heighth
and then the text stops wrapping and the autosize feature
will not go any taller. Although the comments are visible
when you click on the cell, the entire comment in a cell
is not visible on the spreadsheet (on the screen or
printing). Help!

Hi Joanne

Length of cell contents (text) 32,767 characters. Only 1,024 display in a cell; all 32,767 display in the formula bar.

But you can use a text box from the Drawing toolbar Joanne

Thanks - I take it there is no way to display what is in the formula bar in the cell? I need to print it and need for comments to show. How would I use a text box? Open it on top of the cell???? :|???

Hi Joanne

You can also use a Comment, right click on a cell and choose insert comment.
This comment will show when you select the cell

If you want to use a text box :
Right click on one of your toolbars and choose Drawing.
Click on textbox and draw it on you sheet where you want.
