Increase the number of columns

I have Office 98 for Mac and need to know how I can increase the number of
Columns. I get to column IV and it won't let me insert more columns. Any
help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, all XL versions, Mac and Win, have exactly 256
columns and 65536 rows. You can't change that.

Depending on your needs, you may be able to use more than one sheet,
or transpose your data to use >256 rows instead of columns.

Or you could try Mariner Calc, which as 32K columns and 32K rows:
