Indent and Outdent - does not seem to work

In this particular project i have 10 rows of tasks

then i decide to call the 1st task as the SUMMARY TASK; and rests are the
SUBTASK.

to do that, I will shade the row 2 to 10.

Then click INDENT

Then the row 2 until row 10 will become the SUBTASK task 1. The task name
now becomes BOLD.

Task 1 now the SUMMARY TASK, will take a bar shape. Task 2 until 9 will be
a subset of Task 1.

Let's say I change my mind -- and no longer need Task 1 as the SUMAMRY
TASK. And I like to put them on a similar hierachy.

What I need to do now is to shadow row 9 until row 10, and click OUTDENT.

But nothing happen at all.

Why?

Is that any setting that prevent the OUTDENT from functioning?

I expect to see all them become similar in the hierachy -- and all of them
as simply TASKS.

Hello,
If you did not click twice the Indent button, check if the Project 2003 Std
Service Pack 1 has been applied.

This is a known bug in Project 2003 Standard.
You can download and apply SP1 or SP2.
