Indent and Outdent

R

Randy

I am not be able to outdent a couple of summary tasks any further. I
accidentally outdented a subtask and created a summary task and need to
change it back, but it will not let me. The help menu said to outdent
everything until they are all at the same point, but that does not work
either. The outline function seems to not work the same as it does in MS Word
where you can simply select what level of header you want to assign, any help?

Hi Randy,

Are you using Project 2003? If so, do you have the most current Service
Pack (SP2) for MS Project installed? The inability to outdent was a bug
that was fixed in SP-1. See the following links for additional
information:

The link to the knowledge base article where the downloadable "fix list"
for SP-2 is:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887620

If you do not have SP-2 (which includes SP-1)installed, see the
following link to the download page for SP-2 is:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...EF-AF64-444D-942D-1188843A8FA4&displaylang=en

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Julie,

I do have another question, I do not have the SP2 so I went to the second
link you have and there are two files:
Office 2003SP2-KB887616-Client-ENU-exe
Offcie 2003SP2-KB887616-Fullfile-ENU-exe

Which one should I use? I downloaded both but not sure if I should run both.

Thanks agian for your help,
Randy

Hi Julie,

Sense the link you provided takes me to the "Fullfile" intialy, I went ahead
and tried to run that .exe and it said that it "did not see the expected
version".

What should I do now?

Thanks again,
Randy

Hi Randy,

Just to confirm, you are using Project 2003, not 2002, correct? When I
visit the site I listed, I only see one download which is the
"fullfile".

Have you tried using the Microsoft Office Update Web site? It will
detect the updates needed. See the following URL for the update site:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
