Indentation not showing correctly in Gantt chart view

I am using MS Project 2007 Standard on Windows XP. I was working on a large
project file (>200 rows) when all of a sudden none of the child tasks are
indented in the task name field. If I click on a summary task, they
collapse. I checked tools/options/view "Indent name" and it was checked. I
tried unchecking and checking, but nothing changed. I closed the project
file and create a brand new file and any time I create a child task, it
doesn't indent. I rebootted, no change. I reinstalled MS Project, but no
change. I sent a file I created to a colleague, and the file shows child
tasks properly indented from parent tasks. Any ideas why this bizarre
behavior? Is there some global setting on my PC that is causing this?

Based on another post below, I tried undocking my laptop and voila, the
indentation appears again. Redock, and it's gone. For some reason when I am
docked the indentation is either absent, or so slight, that it is
indiscernible. It is very difficult to work in project without indentation
being visible.
