Indentation shown as characters (ch)

In the paragraph dialog box, the indentation shows in a measurement of ch,
therefore the ruler displays increments in ch. I know this stands for
character.

In Tools - Options the measurement is set to inches.

The ruler in PowerPoint is inches.

How do I change it back to points for indentation?

How do I get the ruler to show inches?
