indenting tasks

When I indent a task the field goes blank and the only way to see it is to
hover over the field with your mouse. So the only task you see is the
furthest one outdented. For instance if i start a new project with project
name plus 5 tasks, then if I indent those five tasks their task name
disappears, the information is all there but the task names are hidden and
the only way to see them is to move your arrow over each line in the task
field. This is a new problem so I must have changed some parameter but I've
tried most everything and can't seem to remedy it.

I'm having the exact same problem. If your subtasks have children are they
hidden as well as the +/- icon? I'm being told it is a Service Pack 2 issue
but I have it installed and everything should be fine.

Tommyj,
Boy, it seems there is a bunch of this (i.e. disappearing task names)
going on. First of all, what version of Project are you using? If it is
Project 2003, do you have the SP2 update installed?

The only "setting" that affects indentation is Tools/Options/View tab,
the "indent name" option near the bottom. However, that will not cause
task names to disappear. Does this happen will all of your files or just
a single file? Oh, and are you sure you don't have a bunch of leading
spaces in the text for the task name? I also assume you have the column
width of the Name field set wide enough to show indented names. If there
are enough indentures and the column isn't wide enough, the task name
will disappear.
