On certain index entries, I have multiple pages referenced (yes, they're all
essential mentions of the indexed topic). If the index entry itself is long
enough, the entry + multiple pages pushes the page nos. out past the right
margin or column margin.
The style Paragraph setting of Indentation right controls the index topic
itself, so for example you can it to begin word wrapping .5" before the right
margin. But is there something -- a formatting option, a field, or some
other feature -- to control how many page number entries can appear on a
single line? (The same problem occurs in a table of authorities, too, though
not in a table of contents since that shows just the first page of the topic.)
There is, of course, the very ugly manual workaround of forcing a line break
and then direct-formatting the new line not to have the leader dots. Does
anyone know an automatic (but preferably non-VBA) override? Many thanks for
any suggestions.
