Index problems

Fay Yocum

I have a large document that I have indexed. I have a strange problem. I
have indexed definitions and I do double indexes as follows term:definition
and also definition:term. After a specific point in the document all of the
definition:term entries are showing up in the index as below instead of
listing all the terms under the heading definition.
definition
termX
definition
termY
definition
termZ

This only happens with the definition:term combo going from a specific point
until the end of the document. There are no other problems with the index.

I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

Hi Fay,

Usually, the problem turns out to be a result of a damaged Word binary file.
First thing to try is to copy all the text EXCEPT any section breaks and
EXCEPT the last paragraph mark to a new document (recreate the sections as you
go).
