index size exceeds max

When trying to generate, I get the below....

test.vsd : error P1025: '"SDE_xml_index_tags".xml_indextags_ix1' :
Index size exceeds the maximum size (900) allowed by the target DBMS.

Any ideas ?

I solved it. The index was on a field that was varchar(1024). It had
to go to 450 though to work! Odd.

Sounds like this might be related to nvarchar / double byte thing where
the actual max would be 450 instead of 900 as your erro message said.
