I have typed a long book (700 pages) in Word 2000
When I create a Table of Contents (at the front of the document) it messes
up the pagination so that the Index (at the back of the book) is now
incorrect (ie the page numbers in the index are now off by 4 pages - the
length of the TOC).
I have set the documents "page # 1" in the footer to start after the Table
of Contents and Title Pages etc.
How can I create a Table of Contents without messing up my Index?
Thanks in advance.
