I want it to look like this:
hello

chapter 1 page 3

etc...

I can do this manually i know, but i want to learn all the beginner and advance sages of word 08

Hi "Whatever your name is"

Sorry: But for best service around here, include your real name (or
something that looks like it...) Most of us old farts feel a bit strange
talking to a number. So we try not to :)

There are three ways of creating a Table of Contents, and two ways of
creating an Index. I need to know which one you are using before I can help
you.

Which Help topic are you following? What's the heading of it?

Generically, the appearance of the Table of Contents and Index is defined by
the properties of the styles that are automatically applied by the TOC and
Index Generators.

The Table of Contents is formatted by styles TOC 1 through 9, the Index by
Index 1 through 9.

Cheers
