Index with hyperlinked page range rather than discrete pages

I am making a cross referencing table and would like to include page ranges
under each heading. I want to be able to update these ranges after I add new
sections to the body of the document. Is there any way to do this on Word
2004 (Version 11.5), or can one only enter a discrete page number?
