Index

Hi,
I have a problem with a document I am using. The Document
has 25 pages and lots of headings. If I create an Index on
the second page ( first page is the cover sheet ) then I
get two page 2s. One where the index is and the old page
two. Page 25 also show page 25 of 26 ? I have tried
inserting a page first. All page numbering is correct, but
when I insert the Index table ( it is in two columns ) the
page is then ignored and once again I have 2 page 2 and
the final page is once again 25 of 26.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong ? or is this a MS
bug !?

To begin with, I would think you would want a TOC rather than an index, but
if you're really using an index, it has inserted section breaks. If you had
set page numbering to start at 2, then the new section will pick up that
setting.
