I marked entries for an index by using a concordance file;
however, I used the wrong file. I can't find any way to
delete all marked entries "in one fell swoop." Thought
maybe I could do it with find/replace and wildcard but
couldn't make it work.

Also, some of the marked entries are in headings which
gives them a different font style and size. I have even
gone in and edited the info in quotes after the XE
(changed style and size), but when they show up in the
index, they are still capitalized, larger font, and
different style. In the second column of the cordance, I
have them in the formatting that I want to appear in the
index. I am using Word 2000.

Thanks in advance for you help. It is greatly appreciated.

Click the ¶ button to show non-printing characters (including all the XE
fields). Then using the Edit Replace dialog, type "^d XE" (without the
quotes) into the Find What box, and leave the Replace With box blank. Click
Replace all.

Hi...I am just going to begin creating a concordance
file, but I am not sure I completely understand the
instructions in the online help. Could you give me an
example or two of what the table should look like?

thanks.
