we write our program manuals in word and then convert them
to pdf to include in the program. the user can open the
manual while in the program, and while viewing the table
of contents, can click the toc heading and be taken to the
page in the manual.
this would be much more effective if the index worked the
same way, but i can't find out how to make the index
styles behave like the heading styles.
i checked with adobe about this and they said the
hyperlink (i hope i'm using the correct term) needs to
come from the originating document.
i'd appreciate any suggestions.
