Indexing and TOC

The unknown Posterchild

I am creating a fake book in which I create a TOC from the page title.
I also want to create an index using the same The TOC data.

The page has:
Song title
artist

Lyrics
................

I want to be able to create an index based on the artist's name (often not
the first name)
Example:
TOC: Suspicious Minds Elvis Presley 175 << that's the page number
generated by TOC Level 1 Entry

I also want to create an index that would show:
Presley, Elvis
Jailhouse Rock 85
Suspicious Minds 175

Can I use the same TOC info to create an index like this or do I have to add
extra text for index entries?
