In Outlook, as I try to search emails, I get an error that the search utility
has stopped working. That error leads me to a hotfix which I have
downloarded. On launching the hotfix utility, I go through the various steps
including the password, and then I get an "error 40" which says that one of
the fixes will not launch.
When I close Outlook and relaunch it, it will search one or two times, then
go back into the error mode.
I've run the Office repair utility from the install disk...no difference. As
one of the steps in figuring out what was going on, I checked the automatic
update utility and found that Office had the SP2 upgrade waiting...I
installed, but on rebooting the system and opening Outlook, I still have the
problem
My own next logical step is to uninstall Outlook and reinstall it...other
ideas would be appreciated.
