The instructions in Word state to update an index to click to the left of the table and press F9. This does not work. It is an embedded Mac command. How do you update an index using a Mac?

Hi Bruce--

Try selecting the field and using the contextual menu to Update Fields.

Access contextual menu: either right-click, or hold down control while
clicking (this works across Mac OS X)
