This formula:

=INDIRECT.EXT('H:\["&D100&".xls]BUYERSREQUEST'!C44)

keeps giving me a #value error...any obvious reasons....

Try:

=INDIRECT.EXT("'H:\["&D100&".xls]BUYERSREQUEST'!C44")

and workbook can be closed.
