infinite pagination with Word 2002

I have word 2002 on Win XP. With one specific file, Word
repaginates my file infinitely. It eventually freezes and
CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had a similar problem with word 2000 running under
WInMe, however it did not freeze up on me, so this
solution may not be viable for you. I managed eliminate
the infinite repagination by saving the file as .rtf,
closing the file, opening the .rtf file, saving it as a
word file (.doc).
