Info being held hostage

K

Kym

I downloaded the trial version and am nont purchasing because frankly it's
not worth the money MS is asking for it. Now the info I entered to the
program is being held hostage as the copy and paste function no longer works.
Apparently, MS thinks I'll plunk down 99.95 to get access to it again. Any
ideas on how to get my info back out of the program?

You should have read the details about the trial version program before
installing. Those would have told you that after the expiration of the
trial period, you cannot get the notes out of the program again.
Your best chance right now is to get OneNote 2007 Beta 2. This will
allow you to upgrade your 2003 notes and export them. Google "Microsoft
Office Preview" to get to the site where you can download it.
You might actually like 2007 and decide to buy that one for $100. Note
that the beta version expires on February 1, 2007. If you have no
intention of buying OneNote 2007, then you should get the notes out of
it before that date. Past that date, there will not be any way to do
that except buying ON 2007 of course.

Kym,

Might I suggest you think twice before making stupid comments like, "it's
not worth the money MS is asking for it"? Perhaps a better way to say what
you said is, "Because OneNote 2007 doesn't meet my needs, I don't feel it's
worth $99." I would gladly pay three times what MS is asking for OneNote
because it's a life saver for me.

Copy and paste works just fine in ON 2007. However, if for some reason you
are having problems, try exporting your notes to PDF or Microsoft Word or
any of the other supported formats that MS is bleeding us for by charging
$99 :).

Amos.

Amos,
The last time I checked this is a free country and I can say anything I
want, anyway I want and can have any opinion I want. No wonder these boards
have such a bad rep with people like you around. So I might suggest you go
**** yourself :)
