I have found what I believe is a reproducable bug in Infopath 2007 Beta 2.
The steps to reproduce the bugs are:
1. Open a Word document that has a Footnote attached to some text and copy
this to the clipboard.
2. Paste this into an Infopath document.
3. Preview the Infopath document You should receive and error that says
"Infopath cannot create a new, blank form. The form template is invalid".
The Details of the message say:
InfoPath cannot open the following view: View 1
The following view file is not valid: view1.xsl
The view (.xsl) file contains customized ID attributes. Because InfoPath
automatically generates ID attributes in .xsl files, this view cannot be
supported. To use this view in the form, you must remove the customized ID
attributes.
At this point the form is unrecoverable unless you undo changes. If you
save the form without undo, it will not load again and I have not found a way
to fix this.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it a known bug?
