I was asked to look into InfoPath to see if it will meet our needs for our
documents control issue. I have look for a couple of days but haven't found
a resolution yet.
The problem:
We have letters that need to be filled with data (insurer information)
and the letter needs to be editable, if they need to change the content
they can do so. I believe all this is possible so far. My dilemma
is once they change the template content, can I save the new template and
data(xml) in a database and call it up later to export programmatically to
PDF?
The user's will have InfoPath install locally and I was told not to use
SharePoint because we don’t' have the resource to support it at this time. The
user will click a link on our ASP.net application to load the form(template)
from a SQL server database and store the data and template in a document table
in the database to call up later.
Any help is appreciated because I’m about tapped out on finding an InfoPath
resolution.
Thanks
