InfoPath and Adobe Designer (7.0)

Ed Warren

One of the limitations of InfoPath is that the remote user needs to have
InfoPath installed to use the forms. I'm trying to convert one of my
Infopath forms into the PDF form format. All works execpt the values of the
drop-down list. The documentation for the PDF form Designer says:
----------------------------------
Conversion limitations

The following InfoPath objects import with the limitations noted below.

List boxes, drop-down list boxes

Adobe Designer includes values if you populate the box using an external
file in InfoPath.

Adobe Designer doesn't import entries (for example, from Data Source,
Database and Web Services).

-----------------------------

I have tried all the combinations of dataconnections, files, resource files,
etc. in an attempt to make this work.

Anyone out there solved this problem??

Thanks

Ed Warren.

Hi Ed,

Have you tried commercial Viewers for InfoPath? Some of them have data
entry support.

For some very political reasons I'm constrained to the PDF format, however,
I will keep your suggestion as an emergency backup plan.
