Infopath and Sharepoint Help

Hello All,
I have a problem with infopath that maybe someone can help me out with.
I have created a purchase order infopath form, actually I customized
the MS template one. I have created a form libray on our sharepoint
site also I have the form pulling some info from some different lists
as well. The root of the problem is this: When a purchase order is
created and submitted, how can I maniplate either sharepoint or info
path to subtract the PO total from a total in a different list and
contunually subtracting from the total everytime a PO is submitted.
Basically we have a fixed amount that we can draw PO's off of and I
would like to be able to subtract a PO from that total when it is
submitted and then have the total reflect the change, and then when a
second PO is submitted it subtracts it's total off a the exsisting
total. If this confuses anyone let me know and I can further explain.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? Is there a way to alter an entry in a
list on a sharepoint site with one of the form entries?

Is the other list a sharepoint list? You can use webservices of WSS to
manipulate the list values. The doc lib that the PO is in can also have
custom values (like amount_available) which can be calculated and updated
when the PO is saved.
