Hi,
I am experiencing a very annoying bug with Infopath 2003 Sp2 in Windows
2003 and XP SP2 environments. The IE version 6.0.2900.2180.
When doing special operations, like paste/cut, or insert a new row or a
new section, Infopath closes without any error message, then comes the
error reporting screen (I sent at least 100 of them...). This makes
working on large forms impossible, since we have to save the file
everytime before to make any of these special operations.
9 times out of 10, when I reopen the form, I am able to perform the
task.
This happens with a small form with 3 views, one of them with a
repeting section that includes a repeating table and other small
fields. No JScript, no ADO. The form use only secondary data sources
(XML files). This happens with other forms templates too, but it seems
that repetitive sections/tables are a condition for this bug.
On my laptop, the problem never happens ; on my Terminal server and on
one of our dev. machine if happens everytime.
This is a major headache for me as we're about to deploy 50+ infopath
users.
Do you know any workaround ? What may be the sources of this bug?
