Infopath compatibility with old Office and OS versions

K

Keith Smith

We would like to begin to deploy some Infopath forms throughout our
organization. My question is, if we deploy Infopath to clients running a
mixed bag of Windows 2000 and XP and Office 2000 and Office XP, will we have
problems.

We have a major system refresh scheduled for 1st quarter 2006 which will put
Windows XP and Office XP on all systems but I would like to begin taking
advantage of Infopath sooner.

Thanks.

Hi Keith,

There are certain pieces of functionality where InfoPath requires Office
2003 (i.e. the ability to do a File->Send To Mail Recipient - this requires
Outlook 2003.) However, from a general perspective there should be no
problems deploying InfoPath on machines that do not yet have Office 2003.

One other item: your Windows 2000 machines will need to have at least SP3
installed.

I hope this helps!
