Infopath crash after xml file size become more than 1.5 MB

InfoPath works great with good performance with somewhere around 1 MB
file size but after 1 MB file size its' navigation and operation slows
down considerably. Things doesn't get stopped here, after reaching file
size of 1.5 MB+ it behaves erratically and start crashing for no
reasons. It crash even at scrolling the form!

Crash gives report for MSHTMLED.dll and/or MSHTML.dll.

Any solution? Or is it a known problem? Anyone's' feedback or help
will be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Anjan - unfortunately, large file sizes won't perform very well in InfoPath.
The crash when scrolling is indeed one of the issues that happen.

You can help improve the performance of your form by showing less data in
the view at one time, through multiple views or master-detail controls. This
will help, even if the total data is quite large.

Thanks,

I show all the data in small chunk only in different forms! My
application is like offline web application.

What is the microsoft plan for releasing new service pack?

Thanks for your response. Shall I assume that you are microsoft
technical support person and microsoft admits that file size is the
problem at this moment?

Persons with [MSFT] after their names are Microsoft employees. I am a member
of the InfoPath product team.

The crashing issue for you may happen when the view is changing - such as
from querying a web serivce or switching views - and the user is scrolling.
It is not directly related to the file size. We're aware of this problem,
though I can't offer any any specifics regarding when a fix might be
available.
