Infopath crashes when clicking the scroll bar a couple of times

Marc Nemegeer

Hi,
I have a weird repeatable problem :-( I open a form connected to a
database. It shows more than one page of data. The right scroll bar is
active. When I click the down arrow a couple of time, Infopath just crashes
and wants to send an error report to Microsoft. I've sent two error reports
up to now :)

Does anybody else has this same problem ? Is it a known problem ??

I have this problem on the user environment and on my development
environment (clean installed w2003, vs2003, Office 2003, Sharepoint services).

Regards,
Marc

PS. Of course I have SP1 installed

Hi Marc,

This is a known issue and we have a Knowledge Base article documenting this
information:

Internet Explorer crashes if you click a button or scroll the view in
Office InfoPath 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;893371

If you can give us a call (800-936-5800) we'll be able to provide you with
the hotfix - of course, there is no charge for this issue.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your support.

I have received the hotfix for W2003 and WinXP.

BUT, my develop environment to install it is W2003 SP1 and it doesn't
install on W2003 SP1. The hotfixagent has no version for W2003 SP1. He gave
me the advice to post it on the newsgroup :) So apparently, it is not
included in W2003 SP1. Any advice ??

Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. My best advice is to get
back to a live person at Microsoft so you can have someone take the time
needed to look into this.
