Infopath + Database connection

Hi @,

I have an infopath form which gets data for a drop down list from a remote
sql server DB.

When I preview this form, I see that the drop down list is populated with
data from DB. But once I publish the form to an SPS site, When I try to fill
the form, it thows error "An error occurred accessing a data source.". If I
click continue, it displays the form with no data in dropdown list.

Any ideas?

Thx

Which version ??
Check which authentication you are using for the data source?
If its Windows Authentication, see the logged in user in Windows has
appropriate rights.

Hi,

I am not using the windows authentication. I am using an sql server login.
Also, this is in IP 2007.

If I try to fill the form from SPS site using IP client, it works fine. But
it does not work well with a browser.

Also, the validation of a field with the DB does not work well.

Thx
S

Thanks

Is it a browser rendered form or opened in client? If its a browser rendered
form, the error is logged in the server's event log. Check if you could get
anything
from there.
